Got Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our healthcare recruitment process, qualifications, fees, and the support we provide throughout your journey.
How long does the entire process take?
The total timeline varies depending on individual circumstances, qualification requirements, and visa processing times. Typically, the process takes 6-12 months from registration to placement. Your Africa Care case manager will provide a realistic estimate based on your specific situation.
What qualifications do I need?
We work with nurses, care workers, and allied health practitioners. Specific requirements vary by destination country and role. During the screening stage, we assess your current qualifications and advise on any additional requirements.
Do I need to pay for placement?
No. Candidate fees are charged for preparation and readiness services only — never for job placement or visa processing. This protects candidates and maintains the integrity of our process.
What support do I receive after arrival?
Africa Care and the SalusPathways head office provide structured support during your first 90 days of employment, including settlement assistance, professional orientation, and ongoing check-ins to ensure a successful transition.
What documents do I need to apply?
You will need your nursing or healthcare qualification certificates, proof of identity (passport or ID), an updated CV, and proof of English language proficiency (if available). Additional documents may be required during the verification stage.
Which countries can I work in through Africa Care?
Africa Care currently facilitates placements in Australia. We work with healthcare facilities across various regions to match you with opportunities that suit your preferences and qualifications.
Can I bring my family with me?
Yes, many visa categories allow for dependent family members to accompany you. Our migration agent partners can advise on specific visa options that accommodate family migration and the associated requirements.
Is Africa Care a legitimate recruitment agency?
Yes. Africa Care is the South African division of SalusPathways, a healthcare workforce infrastructure platform headquartered in Australia. We are committed to ethical recruitment practices and never charge fees for job placement.
